Please read the following Terms and Conditions, which relate to information regarding general use of our website.
By using this website, making a payment and/or beginning an online course, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. From time to time we may change these terms and conditions, and will post revisions on our website. We recommend that you read these terms and conditions regularly.
Username & Password
Please be advised that your username, password for the course will be sent to the email address given during the payment process within two business days, or earlier, after completing the online registration and once confirmation had been received by ActEd Online that fees have been paid in full.
Payment Policy
Course fees listed on the website are all-inclusive.
Registration / Enrollment fees include course material.
Payment must be received on or before the date of course commencement.
Refund Policy
Payment for any service on the ActEd Online website is non refundable.
Registering and payment for an online course through ActEd Online is a commitment to completing the course for which you register. As such, no refund can be issued for online courses once paid for in full.

ActEd Online Learning Platform:
ActEd online is a database driven web service delivering subscription based elearning videos and supplementary materials. We run on a LAMP (linux, apache, mysql, php) server hosted by RackSpace cloud service behind an industry standard firewall. We store user data in a mysql database.
General
ActEd Online is a website owned by Dean Armstrong.
ActEd Online & its programs are not governed or approved under the Private Career Colleges Act 2005, therefore no privileges or rights associated with this Act are applicable or applied.
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under any applicable law, it shall be deemed omitted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. This Agreement may be modified only in writing authorized by AAS ActEd Online Inc. ActEd Online’s waiver of any right shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right in the future. This web site is controlled and operated by ActEd Online from its offices in Ontario, Canada. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and in the provincial and federal courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada. ActEd Online makes no representation that this material is appropriate for users in other jurisdictions.
ActEd Online Inc. warrants the provision of product(s) and/or services, purchased and/or otherwise, provided by and used via actedonline.com, as deemed available by ActEd Online Inc. ActEd Online Inc. does not guarantee the existence of products and/or services, purchased and/or otherwise, provided by and used via actedonline.com, in any perpetuity, for registered consumers, or otherwise. ActEd Online Inc. reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend or otherwise, discontinue any and/or all provisions granted, by this agreement, as dictated by ActEd Online Inc. Should said juncture arrive, if ever, registered consumers, will be notified in advance of the cessation and given fair and ample time to complete the purchased ActEd Online program as intended by the use of ActEd Online. Registrant use and entitlement will be subject to and dictated by the Terms and Conditions of the program, and those requirements of eligibility therein.

When you use ActEd Online’s Website for program or services purposes, such as participating in online courses, submitting a video or making payment, the personal information you provide for that program or service will be in compliance with The Personal Information Protection Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and will be used only for the purpose it was collected. The information will be disclosed only in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
Also, it is necessary for you to register, giving us access to personal information, such as, your credit card information, name, specialty, address, phone number, e-mail address, and other contact information. We do not otherwise collect personal information.
We will not share personal information gathered on this Website with any other parties, except as we may reasonably determine is required by law or by governmental authority. It is ActEd Online’s intention to protect against improper use of your personal information. Accordingly, ActEd Online has provided safeguards for the protection and storage of the personal information you have provided. Credit card information is encrypted, and access to your information is limited exclusively to people required to process that information.

The ActEd Online Website may have links to external Web pages. Please be aware that the school is not responsible for site content outside our Web site, or the privacy policies of outside Web sites. We encourage you to read the individual privacy statements on each Web site you visit.
Security
All payment details which are entered through our payment gateway are encrypted when the Student, or third party making payment, enters them.
The payment portal of the site is secure and uses encryption to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site.
ActEd Online shall not be liable for any failure by the Student or third party making payment of Fees to properly protect data from being seen on their screen by other persons or otherwise obtained by such other persons during the Online Payment process or in respect of any omission to provide accurate information in the course of the Online Payment process.
Use of Materials
Permitted Uses and Prohibitions
You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify, republish, upload, download, post, sell, lease, license, rent, transfer or in any manner distribute or otherwise use or permit others to use any Materials or any copies thereof, inclusive of and not limited to any and/or all video content, Action Workbook printed documents that include sides, templates, exercises and assignments, copyrighted or otherwise.
This license to use the Materials will also automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any these Terms and Conditions. In the event this license is terminated, you must immediately destroy any copies you have made of the Materials.
NO WARRANTY
NEITHER ARMSTRONG ACTING STUDIO INC., AAS ACTED ONLINE INC. NOR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE CREATION, PRODUCTION, PROMOTION OR MARKETING OF THE LICENSED MATERIALS MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE MATERIALS, WHICH ARE LICENSED “AS IS”. ALL WARRANTIES ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING BY STATUTE OR OTHERWISE IN LAW OR FROM COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, OR USE OF TRADE. THE DOCUMENTS AND RELATED GRAPHICS PUBLISHED ON THIS SERVER MAY INCLUDE TECHNICAL INACCURACIES OR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS. CHANGES ARE PERIODICALLY MADE TO THE INFORMATION HEREIN. ACTED ONLINE MAY MAKE IMPROVEMENTS AND CHANGES IN THE PROGRAM(S) OR COURSE(S) DESCRIBED HEREIN AT ANY TIME. IN NO EVENT WILL ACTED ONLINE OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE CREATION, PRODUCTION, PROMOTION OR MARKETING OF THE LICENSED MATERIALS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, RELIANCE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, OR FOR INABILITY TO USE THE MATERIALS, EVEN IF ACTED ONLINE OR SUCH OTHER THIRD PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL ACTED ONLINE OR SUCH OTHER PARTY’S LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSS TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY EXCEED THE FEE PAID BY YOU TO ACTED ONLINE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, or the limitation of liability to specified amounts, so the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you if prohibited by applicable law. You may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. You agree that this Agreement shall not be subject to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Access to the ActEd Online website
We try to ensure that website availability is uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, we cannot, due to the nature of the internet, guarantee that your access will not be suspended or restricted from time to time including to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. We of course try to limit the frequency and duration of any suspension or restriction. Access is at our discretion and may be changed without notice.
Intellectual property rights
The content, layout, design, data and graphics on this website are protected by Canadian and other international copyright laws. No part of the website may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted, in any form or by any means (electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording and/or otherwise) without our prior written consent.
Armstrong Acting Studio and ActEd Online trademarks and logos which are displayed on the website are the trademarks of Armstrong Acting Studio and its licensors. Any use including framing, metatags or other text utilizing Armstrong Acting Studio’s trademarks or other trademarks displayed, is strictly prohibited without our express written consent.
Your conduct
You must not use ActEd Online’s website in any way that causes or is likely to cause the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you are solely responsible for all electronic communications and contents sent from your computer to us. You must use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not use the website for any of the following:
- Fraudulent purposes in connection with a criminal offence or otherwise unlawful activity.
- To send, use or re-use any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or objectionable; or which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any spam.
- To cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
Your Purchase:
Your purchase of ActEd Online TRY IT program entitles you to 3 months of unlimited access to the TRY IT aspects of the program from the time you purchased. Your purchase of the ActEd Online DO IT program entitles you to 6 months of unlimited access to the full ActEd Online program from the time you of purchase.
The purchase of ActEd Online DO IT program includes and is limited to, ONE 1/2 hour Skype Session with an ActEd Resident Coach, upon the completion of the program and the submission of the Self-Tape Audition Showcase. Some conditions apply.
*Skype Privacy:
ActEd Resident Coach Skype Sessions may not be recorded, reproduced, posted, shared or otherwise distributed. Subject and/or limited to, any and/or all, audio and video documentation.
Governing law
These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and all prior agreements, representations, statements, and undertakings, oral or written, are hereby expressly superseded and canceled.
